A story about Vince Welnick
I met Vince very briefly at a Tubes show at the Delaware Music Festival in 1987. From what I’ve heard about him, he was a kind and thoughtful person. It’s sad to see him go.

When I say I’ve been a Bowie fan most of my life, it’s not an exaggeration – I first heard “Space Oddity” when I was around 3 or 4, and I’ve been a fan ever since. I’ve only gotten to see him perform once, with Tin Machine, and it was incredible.
What I admire most about him is his constant re-invention of himself, his music, and his image. There are many Bowies. If you don’t like the current one, just wait around a year or so – or check out some of the previous ones. You’ll find one you like.
I crashed headlong into him while at a sci-fi/gaming convention in Baltimore in 1987. Almost knocked him to the floor. I apologized, and he was very polite to me, but I still feel bad about it.
Sam’s just a big ol’ bear who runs an excellent game of Hunters Hunted (WoD). To make it even better, he wrote my favoritest RPG of all time (Changeling: The Dreaming). I’m really hoping to game with him again, someday.
